I fell into jewelry making…

It all started in an unlikely place…I had starting pouring paints, and had fallen in love with the shiny, marbled colors of the skins of leftover paint. I started to capture them in resin, using store-bought bezels. It was very simple really, but it started my curiosity of jewelry making in earnest. I loved the feeling of wearing something that I had created- even if it had been with a little help. It wasn’t long and I was determined to learn how to make my own bezel. A few years later I was introduced to precious metal clay and my life was forever changed. I’m still a relative newcomer to jewelry making, but I am passionate about learning and developing my skill set and my craft. I take every opportunity to attend a hands on workshop as well as ones online, and I am lucky to have close friendships with other makers who help me troubleshoot and encourage me every step of the way! The jewelry I make today is very different than how I started, and knowing me, the jewelry I will make five years from now will be different than what I’m making today. I think the practice is as much a part of the “why I make” as the final outcome. Creating something beautiful means losing your fear of making something ugly. Thank you for taking the time to visit my site and support my work. I truly appreciate you -
